ANANDA BHASKAR, THE STUDENT: BE BRAVE!

Ananda Bhaskar Rapolu had his primary and secondary education from Zilla Parishath Secondary School, Kodakandla of Warangal district.

First grade student from the beginning.

His cultural and literary activities earned him reputation from his childhood.

His Burra Katha, songs singing and other stage shows earned him well wishers all around.

He practiced presenting latest news items during prayer time in the school every day, by hearing to 6.50 AM regional news, 7.05 national news in Telugu and 8 AM English news, which became foundation to his future profession and command over English and Telugu languages.

Ananda Bhaskar was married to Saroja [11years of age] in his 13th year on March 24, 1976. Child marriage.

Ananda Bhaskar attended United Schools Organisation of India (USO) annual all India schools' festival in 1976 and 1977 in Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.

BE BRAVE! INDIRA GANDHI SAYS TO ANANDA BHASKAR
Ananda Bhaskar was taken to Shrimathi Indira Gandhi ji, the then Prime Minister of India as part of that delegation. In the morning on September 27, 1976 at her No.1 Safdarjung road, New Delhi it was photo session time. Ananda Bhaskar sat along with his teachers and other fellow students in a row. Shrimathi Gandhi ji arrived there, gave time to organise for pose, then immediately made sign to call me, the boy sitting in the front row. Surprisingly went to her. She taken Ananda Bhaskar nearer to her, made him to stand before her. That gave tension to him. Then, she told to him loudly: BE BRAVE! After seeing him to stand correctly, she asked photographer to take the snap. This was having life time mesmerising effect on him.

In 1977, he again attended the session of USO. Then was also had an appointment with the Prime Minister of India. But, Bhaskar refused to go to the person. Instead he chose to go to Wellingdon crescent residence of former Prime Minister. Shrimathi Indira Gandhi ji who heard from Ananda Bhaskar about his last year visit to her and latest visit and skipping of appointment of PM and reaching her for glance made her so happy that made him, a devout follower and keen researcher on her life in the coming days.

Thus went on, in turn to prompt Ananda Bhaskar to write her biography  immediately after her assassination.

He completed his school education in 1978 and Intermediate in 1980 and those extra curricular activities pushed him into journalism.

While in school, his writings on his Delhi tours got published in Yuva Bharathi Magazine published from Guntur by Shri Mannava Giridhara Rao, educationist and former MLC.

His article on Agra has also covered the points about the doubts of existence of Shiva Temple before Taj Mahal and his article on Delhi focussed on the magnificient structures built by Moguls and British Rulers, still giving shelter to Government offices and official residences including Rashtrapathi Bhavan. He wrote these while he was in Ninth and Tenth classes.


Even before his active plunge into Journalism, while in Intermediate at CKM College, Warangal, though he took Biological sciences as study option, his passion for study of society and polity and writing his observations did take shape as articles and got published in the magazines published from Warangal and Jammikunta of Karimnagar district.

He made a clarion call in one of his articles of those days:
CHEEDA PATTINA SAMAAJAANNI BAAGU CHEDDAAM RANDI!
[Let us transform the infected society into proper shape.]

RAPOLU RAJARAM, SELF MADE SOCIAL ACTIVIST, SELFLESS FREEDOM FIGHTER




RAPOLU RAJARAM, who since his teenage, had to struggle on his own, was a neoliterate but famous for his understanding of Vedic practices, Vasthu understanding, Pouranic literature, had to learn hard about the world and had reach Bombay mills in his twenties in late 1940s.

His brief stint in between 1945 and 1949 in his native village Kodakandla, made him freedom fighter, took part in Nizam Andhra Mahasabha activity, instrumental in building Graama dalam of Kodakandla, faced the wrath of son and chelas of Visnoor Ramachandra Reddy, the infamous zamindar, had to be under custody in Pedda Mupparam Police Camp which will automatically enable him the future rewards of struggle.

Rajaram reached Alimabhai chall of the then Ferguson road of Lower Parel, Bombay for his mill worker life, immediately after that. There, his skills and learnedness came to lot of use, which enabled him, quality employment in Century Mills there.

Rajaram married Somanarasamma, the daughter of his maternal uncle, Raccha Pullaiah of neighbouring village Rangapuram, which separated by Bayyanna vaagu from Kodakandla. He was in his thirties where as Somanarasamma was in her eighth year, when there married in late 1950s. She accompanied him to Bombay in in her teens, which shown her the new world away from rural original life.

They were blessed with a son in Bombay at Government Hospital, Parel on January 15, 1964. He is Ananda Bhaskar. Thirteen months after his birth, they totally shifted to their native Kodakandla fulfill the wish of Sadhu Pullaiah Maharaj.

By the time, he reached Kodakandla, Andhra Pradesh became reality, Warangal became new district with Kodakandla as part of its Jangoan taluka. Then, Kodakandla was made into new Taluka. With Mandal type of new setup, again that new taluka was bifurcated into Kodakandla, Palakurthy and Devaruppula mandals. The assembly constituency was Ippadua and then Chennuru. Now it is Palakurthy, with no. 100 out of 294 in Andhra Pradesh Assembly.

He started his business life in Kodakandla. He was guide and harbinger to new and young. His trails of Kirana, Cloth merchant brought new businesses to that place. Thorough social activist. Spiritual supporter. Congressman by political practice without aspiring and accepting any elected positions. He even refused to apply and take the freedom fighter pension, for which, he used to say, that that was the call of Motherland and any reward and benefit will belittle the emotion and urge of those times. Such was his principles.

FAMILY YATRA OF RAPOLU - SADHU PARAMPARA


Sadhu Pullaiah Maharaj, grandfather of Rapolu Ananda Bhaskar and father of Shri Rapolu Rajaram is native of Kodakandla village of Nalgonda zilla of Warangal subedari in esrtwhile Nizam Hyderabad state of Deccan.
Rapolu Pullaiah, a designer weaver of silk sarees, who could not feed his family, undertook in 1930s, his padayatra for food from his place to Solapur of present Maharastra and the then Bombay presidency, which took for them, forty five days. On the way, they had to beg for their food.
Even in Solapur, his mission for sufficient livelihood was in vain.
Then he udertook yatra along with his young wife and kids to Pandaripur, where after dipping into holy Chandrabaga, Rapolu Pullaiah started behaving strangely and expressed his wish to sanyasa yoga.
His wife and kids begged with holymen assembled there about their plight. They guided him to be reponsible about his family, make them safe and then only think of his own yoga.
After reaching back Solapur, he insisted on his life mission. Then, Rajaram in his teens, gave strength to his mother Venkataramamma, which paved way to Rapolu Pullaiah to become Sadhu.
His mission continued. He had his own spiritual experiences. Undertook wide travels along various holy rivers, piligrimmages to North and even to foreign places like Mecca. He had his followers of several places.
He lived his full life. Used to visit family now and then. In his last years, he lived in Kodakandla. He passed away there, after he seeing his grandson. Sadhu Pullaiah Maharaj, who breath his last in 1965, opted for samadhi with his own earnings, which was devoutly followed by his son, Rajaram.
